Well it's gone, yes the Sycamore Pub has finally closed today, 7 August 2008. If anyone has anything to say about it please feel free. It feels like part of the village has died, but then how many of us went there regularly. I probably went about 10 times in two years, not really enough to make it worth while opening.
This is a picture of last years pram race

When the Sycamore reopens, it will be interesting to hear what everyone thinks would make them visit regularly. Should there be live entertainment, quiz nights, dogs allowed, happy hour, pensioner discounts on food, afternoon teas served, regular special events i.e. beer festivals, flower festivals???
For a village pub to thrive, it needs its community to support it so what would it need to offer to get the customers in and to revisit?
